How it Works
- Immerse the viscosity cup completely into the liquid to be tested, using the long handle.
- Lift the cup vertically and start a timer as the liquid begins to flow out of the calibrated orifice.
- Allow the liquid to drain freely without interruption.
- Stop the timer once the continuous flow breaks.
- Convert the measured flow time (in seconds) into kinematic viscosity (cSt) using a conversion chart or viscosity conversion disc.
- Repeat the measurement under consistent temperature conditions to ensure accurate and repeatable results.
This simple dip-and-drain method enables fast viscosity checks without complex equipment or extensive preparation.
