The TQC Sheen Cross Cut Adhesion Test Kit is available in three variants; CC1000, CC2000 and CC3000. The CC1000 is especially suited for hard substrates, with a interchangeable rotating blade it provides enhanced durability.

How It Works
The TQC Sheen Cross Cut Adhesion Test Kit CC1000 is used to test the adhesion of dry coats of paint on their substrate by means of a series of cuts through the coating. Two series of parallel cuts cross angled to each other to obtain a defined pattern of 25 or 100 similar squares. The ruled area is evaluated by using a table chart after a short treatment with a stiff brush, or standard adhesive tape for hard substrates, revealing any coating detachment. The extent of coating removal indicates the adhesion quality.

Usage Instructions
1. Select and mount a suitable blade for your coating thickness and substrate type.
2. Make two series of parallel cuts, angled 90°, to create a lattice pattern (25 or 100 squares).
3. For soft substrates or low adhesion coatings — lightly brush the pattern with the supplied nylon brush.
4. For hard substrates — apply adhesive tape over the grid, wait per standard instructions, and remove to test adhesion.
5. Examine the cut area (with magnifier if needed) and classify according to the appropriate standard chart (ISO or ASTM).
