The TQC Sheen Digital Krebs Viscometer is a modern laboratory‑grade instrument based on the traditional Krebs method for viscosity testing. Designed to measure the resistance to flow in paints, coatings, inks and other liquid formulations, it uses a motor‑driven rotating paddle at a constant speed to determine sample viscosity. How It Works
- Place a fixed volume of the liquid sample in the supplied canister.
- Lower the rotating paddle into the sample and start the viscometer.
- The motor drives the paddle at a constant 200 rpm, generating torque proportional to the fluid’s viscosity.
- The torque signal is converted electronically and displayed on the digital screen in Krebs units (KU), centipoise (cP) or grams (g).
- Save or record the measurement as needed for quality control or process documentation.
This method provides direct digital viscosity results without weights or pulleys, ensuring fast, repeatable measurements that comply with industry viscosity testing methodologies.
